The Gunners have made David Raya's loan move permanent, sold forward Mika Biereth and released the likes of Mohamed Elneny and Cedric Soares. However, business could pick up once Euro 2024 and the Copa America ends, with plenty of players linked with Arsenal.
More outgoings are also expected as the Gunners look to cash in on several fringe players in a bid to raise funds. Here is everything you need to know from in and around Arsenal over the past 24 hours.
Lazio confirm Tavares agreement
Lazio's sporting director Angelo Fabiani has revealed the club are close to sealing a deal to sign Arsenal's Nuno Tavares.
Tavares, who spent last season out on loan at Nottingham Forest, is set to join Lazio on an initial loan deal that will become permanent at the end of the season. "[Tavares] is a player who interests Lazio a lot," Fabiani said, as per the Evening Standard.
"There have been talks between the two clubs for an agreement that was reached yesterday. Before completing the operation, however, many components must be agreed upon and an agreement must be found with the agents. I am more than confident, but for superstitious reasons I will not say that he is already a Lazio player."
Arteta holds talks with youngster
Arsenal are confident that 16-year-old prospect Chido Obi-Martin will stay with the club after he held talks with Mikel Arteta.
Obi-Martin starred for Arsenal's under-18s last season, scoring 32 goals in 20 games, and he has been offered a scholarship deal. However, the likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in his services.
But Arteta has now stepped in and held face-to-face talks with the youngster to try and convince him to stay and it has been reported that there is 'increasing confidence' Obi-Martin will sign a new deal.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal's interest in signing Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori could spell the end of Jakub Kiwior's time at the Emirates.
The report states that a player will likely need to be sold to facilitate the signing of Calafiori and that Kiwior is the most 'plausible' candidate as he is attracting interest from a number of clubs, including those in Italy.
When asked about Kiwior's future in March, Arteta said: "We have made it difficult for him for two reasons. One, because he hasn’t played that many minutes, and the second one because we asked him to play in a position that he’s never played in before."
