Manager Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen his squad and the Gunners are set to ramp up their transfer business now Euro 2024 and the Copa America have come to an end. David Raya's loan move from Brentford has been made permanent, while Mika Biereth has been sold to Sturm Graz.

Lokonga leaves
Midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has joined LaLiga club Sevilla on loan with an option to buy.
The 24-year-old joined Arsenal from Anderlecht in 2021, but has struggled for game time at the Emirates and spent time out on loan at Crystal Palace and Luton Town. Lokonga's move to Sevilla is understood to contain an option to buy of around £10m, while Arsenal will have a 25 percent sell-on clause if that option is triggered.
Lokonga is Sevilla's third new signing so far this summer, with the club having already brought in Chidera Ejuke from CSKA Moscow and Gerard Pernandez from Racing de Santander.
Merino offer
According to the Telegraph, Arsenal are eyeing a move for Spain's Euro 2024 winning midfielder Mikel Merino.
Merino, who previously played in the Premier League with Newcastle, featured in every game of the tournament for Spain and notably scored a dramatic extra-time winner against Germany in the quarter-finals.
The report states that Arsenal's interest in Merino pre-dates the Euros and that he could be available for around £20m, but the Gunners could face stiff competition for his signature with the likes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid also interested.
Gyokeres boost
Arsenal are in the market for a striker this summer and Sporting star Viktor Gyokeres has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates.
And the Gunners have been handed a boost in their pursuit of the former Coventry City striker, with Napoli ruling themselves out of the race for his signature. When asked about the prospect of signing Gyokeres, Napoli's sporting director Giovanni Manna branded the move "impossible" according to Tuttomercatoweb.
