Arsenal transfer target Dani Olmo has turned down offers from Premier League clubs and has his Destination Clear

Arsenal and Manchester City target Dani Olmo received propositions from the Premier League before moving to RB Leipzig in 2020.
The current Euro 2024 Golden Boot leader and one of Spain's dazzling middle maestros has reportedly earned interest from fellow Spaniards Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola.

La Masia graduate Olmo left his place of birth, Catalonia, in 2014 and starred for Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia until his Bundesliga switch four years ago.

Before making a move to Germany, the attacking midfielder captured interest from England and now finds himself linked again with the country he will face in the final of Euro 2024.

The 26-year-old could spark a quickfire bidding war after the final, as his £50million release clause expires on Monday and is expected to be triggered - the day after his country could lift their fourth title.

Olmo's superb strike put the French to the sword in Munich, as Spain came away 2-1 winners and booked themselves a place in their fifth final at the Euros.

Arsenal, Man City, and Liverpool have been reportedly interested in the Spaniard's signature, making this the second time Olmo has been linked with a move to England.

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo after his Leipzig transfer, Olmo stated: "I had several offers, not only from Spain but also from Italy and England—RB Leipzig was the team that made the biggest commitment.

"The sporting director came to see me in Zagreb, and the coach called me to express his interest in me because he wanted me to be part of his squad. That was very important for me. The project they were offering me was not offered to me by any other team.

"That's how I felt, and I was determined it was the best option. I am clear about the path I want to take and what I have to do to achieve it.

It wasn't just England's premier clubs that showed interest, as a return to his boyhood club, Barcelona, was also on the cards when he was strutting his stuff in Croatia.

"Barcelona spoke to my agents in
November as if they wanted to do it very quickly, but then they kept putting it off for one reason or another.

"And so it was until the end of January when they asked me to wait when they saw that I had almost done it with Leipzig. By then, I had already committed. Because I wanted to go to a team that had a present and future project for me. Leipzig offered it to me, and other teams didn't. We went to the team that insisted and showed the most that they wanted me."

Having missed out on the playmaker before, perhaps this time, the reported interest from England may be acted on, and Olmo will soon be tearing up Premier League defences.
