The 25-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Mikel Arteta, and is expected to leave his boyhood club before the 31st August cut-off.
Arteta will be hoping to sell the striker in order to raise funds for another title charge after they narrowly missed out to Manchester City last season.
Arsenal want to secure a £30million-plus fee for the striker, with fellow London clubs West Ham and Crystal Palace keen on signing him.
Everton may also be interested in making a move should Dominic Calvert-Lewin decide to leave the club.
Arsenal ready to cash in on Eddie Nketiah
Nketiah has spent most of his footballing career at Arsenal, only leaving the club on loan once, an ultimately disappointing spell at Leeds United in 2019-20.
Since then, he’s been a bit-part player for Arsenal, starting just 10 Premier League games last season and scoring five times.
Despite barely featuring, Nketiah averages a Premier League goal every 211 minutes, an impressive haul considering he spends most of his time on the bench.
For now, Nketiah looks set to join the Gunners on their pre-season tour to the US. They’ll face Bournemouth on July 24th before playing Manchester United three days later in Los Angeles.
Not soon after, Arsenal will face Liverpool in Philidelphia on July 31st before heading back to London to face German champions Bayer Leverkusen and Lyon.
Nketiah is now back in training after missing out on England’s Euro 2024 squad.
