'Could be the answer': Arsenal urged to sign 'aggressive' striker who could dominate defences in the air

Arsenal have now been told to move for a Premier League attacker who could give Mikel Arteta a totally new outlet.
Having yet to make a signing this summer, though, time is starting to slowly run out for Arsenal on who they could bring in, with the Gunners kicking off their pre-season tour of the United States later tonight against AFC Bournemouth.

And Arteta has now been urged to sign one player this window.

Robson said on Arsenal moving for Toney this summer: “You looked at that team there and remember, they had Jesus as the centre-forward who didn’t quite work for them, he started off brilliantly. Havertz does a good job there but is he an out-and-out centre-forward?

“When you need crosses into the box, he’s quite good in the air, but someone like Ivan Toney could be the answer. He’s not going to play every week maybe. Against some of the big teams, they might go with Havertz, but I think they need another option at centre-forward, and Toney would be that sort of option.

“Somebody that can hold up the play, he can win balls in the air, he’d be aggressive with balls coming into the box, particularly when they’re trailing in games. So that’s another area I think he would like to make them better.”

Gunners can still do a lot better than Toney this summer
Toney is clearly a top striker who this summer needs to move on from Brentford having shown with the Bees that he can start for one of the biggest sides in the Premier League in the upcoming season.

Yet for Arsenal, there’s still that feeling that the Gunners can do a lot better than Toney, with Arteta more likely to target a younger striker who is more suited to his style of play than the England international.

Indeed, Toney is more than deserving of a move to a big Premier League side this summer, yet for Arsenal, they would be wise to hold fire on signing the Brentford star, even with options limited.
