‘I can’t shake the feeling’: Journalist still thinks Arsenal could go in for £100m striker

Arsenal are still in the market for a new striker.

The Gunners have been linked with a new centre-forward for around 18 months at this point, but, as of yet, no new striker has come in at the Emirates.
However, with the transfer window open, Arsenal can assess and approach their targets this summer, and it’s fair to say they have a number of options.

The likes of Ivan Toney and Benjamin Sesko have been strongly linked for a while, but one name that has been in the background for a little while is Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian is a player Arsenal have been tentatively looking at for a long time, and speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, Dean Jones has suggested that Arsenal could still go in for the Napoli star.

Arsenal could still go for Victor Osimhen
Jones stated that he can’t shake the feeling that Arsenal or Chelsea could go for Osimhen.

“I still can’t shake the feeling that Chelsea or Arsenal will go in for him. It’s such a big moment to let pass you by when you have guaranteed goals staring you in the face. Osimhen is that man, but it sounds like he will be starting pre-season at Napoli,” Jones said.

Osimhen always an option
Victor Osimhen looks set to leave Napoli this summer, and as long as the Nigerian stays in Italy, he’s an option for the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

Osimhen will cost a lot of money with a £100m figure touted, but given his performances in Italy in recent years, there’s a case to be made that he would be worth the money.

As of yet, Arsenal and Chelsea haven’t made their move for Osimhen, but, as Jones says, he’s always a player you have to keep an eye on as England’s top clubs look for a new striker.
