Real Madrid eyeing up shock move for Liverpool superstar, talks have already taken place

Real Madrid will need a new right-back soon, with Dani Carvajal (32) and Lucas Vazquez (33) not getting any younger. It’s likely that a top-level signing will be made, and they could have already identified their top target.

Los Blancos have been linked with Trent Alexander-Arnold over the last few months, and according to Christian Falk, they have now stepped up their interest in the Liverpool defender, who could be united with fellow Englishman Jude Bellingham – the pair are said to be very good friends.

Alexander-Arnold’s contract situation is a worry for Liverpool – his current deal expires next summer, and at this stage, a renewal agreement does not appear to be close. Given that he is interested in a move to Real Madrid, with whom talks have already started, it could be a big concern for the Premier League giants.

There are obvious concerns about Alexander-Arnold’s defending, but his creativity would be a very valuable asset for Real Madrid, should a deal be pulled off. It remains to be seen whether this is something that is explored this summer – it could be that they try to get him for free in 2025.
