Report: Arsenal are demanding £35m for 'brilliant' Mikel Arteta signing who is determined to leave

Arsenal have now landed on a price tag for a player who is reportedly very keen to leave the club this summer in search of a new challenge.
Mikel Arteta has a few difficult situations to manage this summer, with several of his most important performers from the season before last now itching for minutes.

Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus must be one, a player who now finds himself as second-choice to Kai Havertz despite arriving in north London as a superstar.

And along with Jesus, Emile Smith Rowe finds himself in a somewhat difficult spot too.

Previously handed the number 10 shirt and set for big things, the midfielder is now rarely ever afforded a starting chance in important games.

That being said, it has been made clear how Arteta feels about Smith Rowe leaving Arsenal this summer, amid a few rejected bids from Premier League sides.

And although Arsenal may be torn on Smith Rowe’s departure, that doesn’t seem to be the case with Aaron Ramsdale.

Arsenal name price for Aaron Ramsdale to leave permaently but could accept loan
Ramsdale’s situation is well-documented by this point, a player who was previously ‘brilliant‘ as the club’s number one but is now sat on the sidelines.

Understandably so, Ramsdale wants to leave Arsenal to play first-team football next season.

And according to talkSPORT, Arsenal want to recoup £35m for the England international who is currently on holiday after the Euros.

Ramsdale only signed a new contract with Arsenal last May for around £100k-week according to the report mentioned – a figure that could prove a barrier for interested sides.

As a result, if Arsenal can’t find a buyer for Ramsdale they would be willing to let the goalkeeper leave on loan.

The club likely know that the 26-year-old’s value is somewhat protected by his deal that runs to 2026, reportedly with an option to extend for another year.

And if Ramsdale were to spend the season on loan at a club like Southampton for example in the Premier League, it shouldn’t harm his reputation at all.

All that being said, the report states that Ramsdale is not close to joining any club right now.

In other news, TBR Football recently shared that one Arsenal-linked striker is keen to return to England.
