Report: Arsenal have now made a late move to sign 'talented' prospect who was about sign for Tottenham

Arsenal are now attempting to pull of a last gasp move to prise one promising youngster away from signing for Tottenham Hotspur.

The season has not even started yet and the North London Derby is already taking shape away from the pitch.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham have made slow starts to the summer transfer window when it comes to arrivals.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side have only brought in one permanent signing in Archie Gray with Mikel Arteta awaiting on his first big additions.

But the two clubs are now going head-to-head in an attempt to sign a seriously promising youngster.
Arsenal trying to hijack Tottenham summer move
Both sides have now jetted off for their pre-season tours which take them to opposite sides of the world.

The Gunners are now in Los Angeles, United States and Spurs have just landed in Tokyo, Japan.

But the transfer dealings will continue to rumble on in the background with both clubs looking for improvement on last season.

Although not an option for the first team ahead of the new campaign, it seems the two clubs are now battling it out to seal the services of one seriously promising talent.

According to Secret Scout, Arsenal have now made a late attempt to sign 15-year-old talent Kyran Thompson.

It has been claimed just days before that Spurs had won the race to sign the midfielder who had interest from all of the big six.

However, a late move has been made by the Gunners as well as Newcastle United to try and persuade the 15-year-old.

Having been hailed as ‘talented‘ a decision is now expected to be made soon on his future.

First North London Derby just weeks away
In recent years, these two sides have met fairly early on in the season and it has usually taken place at the Emirates.

However, this season, Spurs will host the first of the two meetings in the Premier League on 15 September.

The game will be the fourth of the season for both sides with the transfer window having only just shut.

And it seems one of the clubs could well be going into the game in N17 with bragging rights having potentially secured the signature of one of England’s most sought after young talents.
