The 26-year-old lost his number one spot at the Emirates Stadium to David Raya during the 2023-24 campaign, and the latter has now arrived at the Gunners on a permanent basis from Brentford.
Raya is now locked in as the first-choice goalkeeper with Mikel Arteta's side and that will remain the case in the new campaign unless his form takes a drastic nosedive.
Ramsdale moved to the Emirates Stadium from Sheffield United in 2021, and he featured on 37 occasions for the North London club in 2021-22 before playing a further 41 times last term.
The goalkeeper was restricted to only 11 appearances in 2023-24, though, with six of those coming in the Premier League, including the opening four games of the season.
Ramsdale loan? Arsenal 'make decision' on goalkeeper amid exit talk
Ramsdale 'could leave Arsenal on loan'
According to Football Insider, Arsenal are prepared to consider a loan exit for Ramsdale late in the transfer window if they are unable to sell him before then.
The report claims that the Gunners are still hoping to attract 'big-money bids' for the English goalkeeper, but as it stands, the club have not received any suitable bids.
As a result, Arteta's side would allegedly consider a loan departure for Ramsdale late in the window, with Nottingham Forest said to be keen on his signature.
However, it is also being claimed that Southampton 'would love' to bring in the Englishman on loan for the 2024-25 campaign.
Forest, Southampton 'both keen on Ramsdale'
Ramsdale has not been involved in Arsenal's preparations for the 2024-25 campaign, having been in the England squad for this summer's European Championship.
The Gunners will round off their US Tour with a contest against Liverpool on Wednesday night before heading back to England to face Bayer Leverkusen and Lyon in their final two pre-season fixtures of the summer.
Raya is also not with the Arsenal squad in the United States, having been in the Spain squad at Euro 2024.
Estonian goalkeeper Karl Hein played the full 90 minutes against Man United last time out, but the 22-year-old could leave on loan for the 2024-25 campaign.
Arsenal have already signed a goalkeeper this summer, with 18-year-old Tommy Setford arriving from Ajax, while the Gunners continue to be linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers stopper Daniel Bentley.
