Smith Rowe is set to join Fulham after Arsenal reached an agreement with the Cottagers.
However, Arsenal have been keen to sell a number of players all summer and it doesn’t look like things are going to end with just Smith Rowe going.
The Gunners also know clubs are interested in some of their other players.
Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson are targets, and given their homegrown status, they represent pure profit for the Gunners when it comes to PSR.
And speaking of Nketiah, it appears another bid will be coming shortly for the striker.
Arsenal expecting another bid from Marseille for Eddie Nketiah
Updating the Sky Sports live blog with information on Nketiah, reporting duo Dharmesh Sheth and Adrian Kajumba offered the following update.
“Marseille are expected to go back in with an improved offer for Eddie Nketiah,” it says.
“Initial talks highlighted a big gap in valuation between Arsenal’s asking price and what Marseille were prepared to pay.
“Nketiah is currently with the Arsenal squad on their pre-season tour of the USA and has featured in both of their matches so far.
“Nketiah has three years left on his contract and it’s expected he will leave in this window with regular first team football is his primary motivation.”
Nketiah ready to leave Arsenal
The ‘incredible‘ Arsenal forward has never quite managed to tie down a place in the Arsenal XI and it now seems an exit is likely.
Indeed, reports have already claimed Nketiah is getting excited about leaving Arsenal and with that, you’d expect a deal to be done.
For Nketiah, it really is about time he moved on and found somewhere to play regular football.
Whether Marseille is the answer, remains to be seen.
