Nketiah is away with the Arsenal squad in the USA this summer and has already featured for the Gunners.
However, there is heavy speculation surrounding his future and whether or not the Gunners will eventually end up selling.
However, while those reports may well be accurate, Sky Sports journalist Sheth has said that as yet, nothing is agreed between the clubs.
And as it stands, it looks like Arsenal are biding their time.
Journalist gives update on Eddie Nketiah to Marseille
Speaking on Sky Sports this afternoon, Sheth has said that while Marseille want to sign Nketiah, there seems to be big differences between the two clubs.
“He’s been linked with a move to Marseille, however, there is a big gap in valuation between what Arsenal want for Eddie Nketiah and what Arsenal are prepared to pay,” Sheth said.
“Remember, Marseille are managed by Roberto de Zerbi and have already made a few signings from the Premier League this window.
“Now, we are just waiting to see if Marseille are going to focsu on other targets or go back to Arsenal with an improved offer, that may make Arsenal turn their heads with regards to Nketiah.
“He’s played in pre-season so far, so ss far as Arsenal are concerned, he remains an Arsenal player until they get an offer suitable for both the player and them.”
Arsenal are believed to value Nketiah around the £50m mark but it would be a surprise to see Marseille pay such a fee.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also close to selling Emile Smith Rowe to Fulham, with a £35m deal close.
On the incomings side, Riccardo Calafiori could sign, while a battle with Atletico Madrid for Mikel Merino looks very much on.
