'We're told': Arsenal to sell another midfielder alongside Smith Rowe after US tour - Sky Sports journalist

Arsenal are making plans to offload Emile Smith Rowe this summer but another midfielder could now be set to follow him out the door.

Smith Rowe is in talks to join Fulham for big money and he could be the first of many Gunners to move on this summer.

Eddie Nketiah is in talks to join Marseille, while others could also move on, such as Jakub Kiwior, who has interest from Italy.

Of course, another player who is attracting interest and can be sold for pure profit is midfielder, Reiss Nelson.

Nelson has never quite locked down a place in the Arsenal team and this summer looks set to be his last.

And according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, a deal for Nelson to leave could really develop when the Gunners come back from America.

Arsenal planning to sell Reiss Nelson after USA tour ends
Speaking on Sky Sports about what the future could hold for Nelson and Arsenal, Sheth has suggested that things could well heat up in a few weeks.

“We’re told and we’ve been saying throughout the window that he wants to assess all of his options because the primary motivation for Reiss Nelson, Nketiah, Smith Rowe, is regular first-team football,” Sheth said.

“They’re not going to get it at Arsenal even though Mikel Arteta did praise the attitude of Nelson and Nketiah in the game with Bournemouth.

“We know that Leicester City have been in talks with Arsenal. West Ham have shown interest as well in this window, but as yet, no formal offer.

“But we expect that one to maybe accelerate a little bit more once the US tour with Arsenal is over.”

Nelson has been lauded by Mikel Arteta as a ‘special‘ player in the past but it looks like it’s not going to work out.

As expected, the Gunners will be hoping for some good money – around £20m – if they do sell Nelson.
