The Gunners have already added three new signings to Mikel Arteta’s squad with Mikel Merino announced as Arsenal’s latest signing earlier this week.
They could yet add to their summer signings with Arsenal offered the chance to sign Raheem Sterling from Chelsea. The Blues are eager to offload the England international before Friday’s deadline.
The Sterling saga looks as though it could rumble on late into the night, and Arsenal are now involved in another deal that has popped up with just hours remaining in the window.

Arsenal could complete late sale of Reiss Nelson
Arsenal were eager to sell Reiss Nelson this summer after he fell down Mikel Arteta’s pecking order at The Emirates. They value him at £25million.
Talk of the 24-year-old leaving the Gunners seemed to die down and Reiss Nelson looked set to stay put at Arsenal, but multiple clubs are reportedly eyeing a last-minute deal for the winger.
According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, four clubs have shown an interest in signing Nelson on loan ahead of the deadline.
“We were talking about potential Arsenal departures throughout this transfer window. We know that Eddie Nketiah is on the verge of joining Crystal Palace.
“Reiss Nelson was another player whose primary motivation is to get regular first-team football, and I am just told there are four clubs who have approached Arsenal late on in this window regarding taking Reiss Nelson on a loan deal until the end of the season.” Sheth said.
Reiss Nelson deal is a risk for Arsenal
Arsenal have had a great window – not only in their signings but also their outgoings.
A £34m deal for Emile Smith Rowe was great value, as was the £25m earned from Aaron Ramsdale’s move to Southampton.
Eddie Nketiah is also closing in on a deal to Crystal Palace for £30m, which would take Arsenal’s total sales close to £90m.
A late deal for Nelson would easily break the £100m barrier, but it would be a risk for Mikel Arteta to thin his squad further. Should the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard suffer an injury, Arsenal’s depth out wide is fairly shallow.
