Arsenal eye surprise swoop to sign £43m star with the player keen on moving to the Emirates

Arsenal are reportedly considering a surprise swoop to sign Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman before the end of this window, as per Football Insider.
Despite mounting a title charge in the previous two seasons, the Gunners were eventually pipped to the post by Manchester City. So, Mikel Arteta has made it clear that he is keen on finally winning the Premier League title next season.

Arsenal are looking to reinforce the squad to hand the Spanish boss enough resources to achieve success next campaign and have already signed Riccardo Calafiori to bolster the backline.

Moreover, Arsenal are also keen on strengthening the engine room and have identified Mikel Merino as the primary target. The North London club have been working on this deal to get it done but haven’t been able to seal it yet.

Additionally, the Emirates club are said to be planning to sign a new striker and have been linked with numerous names. But, it is not sure who they’ll eventually sign to beef up the number nine position.

Coman to Arsenal
However, it has also been reported that Arteta is seeking a new wide forward and Football Insider now states that Arsenal are considering making a surprise swoop to sign Coman.

Bayern Munich are open to letting him leave and are ready to accept a loan offer with an option or obligation to buy. So, Arsenal can manage to secure his signature should they formalise their interest with Coman keen on moving to the Emirates Stadium.

The France international, valued at around £43m by Transfermarkt, still has three years left in his current contract so Bayern Munich could demand a hefty fee to let him leave.

The 28-year-old has already played for clubs like Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich and has won every possible tournament in his career at the club level.

So, Coman has already proven his qualities at the highest level and he could add the winning mentality to the Gunners’ squad should he join this summer.

However, he has struggled with injury problems over the last few years and Arsenal will have to be very careful about that before making any potential swoop for him.
