‘Believe it or not’: Journalist shares what he’s hearing about Victor Osimhen amid Arsenal and Chelsea links

With just nine days left in the transfer window Victor Osimhen’s future is still up in the air.

The Nigerian striker has long been expected to leave Napoli this summer, but, as of yet, no deal has come to fruition.

Speaking on the London is Blue Podcast, Ben Jacobs has shared an update on Osimhen towards the end of the transfer window.

Osimhen has been strongly linked to Arsenal this summer, but according to Jacobs, Chelsea are now the only active suitors in this race.

Jacobs says that things are tense at the moment because Chelsea are the only team in for Osimhen, and a loan move could come onto the table towards the end of the window.

What Ben Jacobs has heard about Victor Osimhen
The journalist shared what he knows about the striker.

“Things are getting a little bit tense at the moment, because, believe it or not, Chelsea are the only active suitors at the moment. We should view it separately as something that could happen late in the window,” Jacobs said.

“At that point Osimhen will be under pressure to make a decision, and if the decision is to stay at Napoli and be unhappy and disappointed, if the only option is a Chelsea loan then Osimhen’s perspective on a temporary move might change.”

Victor Osimhen could be the final big mover
There have been a few big names to make moves this summer.

The likes of Kylian Mbappe and Joao Gomes have made big money moves, but there hasn’t been that superstar arrival in the Premier League so far.

Osimhen could be the big-name mover in the final week of the transfer window, and, at the moment, it sounds as though Chelsea are the team leading this race.

This will certainly be an interesting situation to keep an eye on as we edge closer to deadline day with both Arsenal and Chelsea interested.
