The Egyptian was in this situation just a couple of years ago, and, in the blink of an eye, we’re back in a position where Liverpool are sweating over Salah’s future.
Speaking on the Walk On Podcast, James Pearce has been discussing Salah’s contract situation, and he’s shared some interesting insight on the winger.
According to Pearce, Salah’s demeanour seems to be much more relaxed than it was two years ago, claiming that he seems to be much more comfortable with the idea of keeping his options open.

Mohamed Salah’s demeanour has changed
Pearce noted the change he’s noticed in Salah.
“I think Salah is different, with Salah I get the impression that he’s very happy and relaxed, that is a big contrast to when he was nearing the end of his contract two years ago. It suits Salah in a way to keep his options open in some ways.
Salah is in a brilliant position
Salah seems happy and relaxed behind-the-scenes, and it’s not hard to understand why.
Salah is literally in a no-lose situation at the moment. He’s got two amazing options on the table for the end of the season.
He either extends his stay at Liverpool, further cementing his legacy as one of the greatest players in the club’s history, or he heads to Saudi Arabia to earn an unimaginable fortune to secure his family’s future for generations to come.
Salah is in perhaps the most enviable position of any footballer, and he really doesn’t need to stress himself out about his future.
He’s achieved all there is to achieve at Liverpool, and if this is the end, he’ll depart as a legend, but, if he decides to stay, he’ll be even more beloved on Merseyside.
Salah is in a brilliant position, and it’s easy to understand why he seems so happy and relaxed right now.
Perhaps this level of relaxation will allow Salah to bring his A-game this season. After all, it is also said that Salah is looking fitter than ever in pre-season for Liverpool.
