Eddie Nketiah sends message to Aaron Ramsdale after he leaves Arsenal
Ramsdale had a very difficult final season at Arsenal.
The England international started the 2023/24 season as the number one, and not many people expected that to change as he was brilliant in the previous campaign.
However, Mikel Arteta made the bold decision of dropping Ramsdale and choosing Raya after just three games in the Premier League.
That led to a lot of criticism at the time, but Raya proved over the next few months that he deserved to be the number one at Arsenal.
After the Spaniard was signed permanently in July, it became clear that Ramsdale had no way back at the Emirates, so the best thing for both parties was to go their separate ways.
A number of teams were linked with a move to sign Ramsdale, but Southampton were the only club who could agree a deal with Arsenal.
The move is done now, and Eddie Nketiah, who could leave Arsenal himself, has hailed Ramsdale on his Instagram Story.
He wrote: “What a guy, what a player!
