It has been a frustrating window when it comes to arrivals for Arsenal with three players now through the door.
But it now seems Arsenal have passed on the chance to sign Sterling or Kingsley Coman today with their business done when it comes to arrivals.
When it comes to departures, there could now be some late movement at London Colney with the Gunners receiving late interest.
Arsenal receiving late interest in forward of their own
Despite Arsenal fans being desperate to see a new forward come through the doors this summer, they now look set to have to wait until at least January.
And it seems as if salt may now be rubbed in the wound with a potential late departure now being spoken about.
Of course, the interest has to match Arsenal’s valuation but there is a lot of teams keen.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Dharmesh Sheth has now provided an update on the future of the ‘special‘ Reiss Nelson.
“I have just been given a little bit of information. We were talking about potential Arsenal departures throughout this transfer window,” he said.
“We know that Eddie Nketiah is on the verge of joining Crystal Palace, Reiss Nelson was another player whose primary motivation is to get regular first-team football, and I am just told there are four clubs who have approached Arsenal late on in this window regarding taking Reiss Nelson on a loan deal until the end of the season.
“I am just waiting to find out what these four clubs are, but I am kind of being drip-fed this information at the moment.”
Arsenal risk weakening their squad
Ahead of the window, there may not have been many Arsenal fans who would have been overly fussed to see Nelson sold.
After all, the Arsenal forward has not exactly been a major piece of the Arteta plans in recent seasons.
But at this stage of the window, it has to be questioned whether Arsenal should be allowing another one of their options up top to depart.
Unless Arsenal make a seriously late signing, it could be argued they may be about to weaken their squad.
