Carvalho says he loves Liverpool, but the attacker left the Reds to join the Bees in a deal worth £27.5million.
Liverpool fans wanted Carvalho to stay, but first-team opportunities under Arne Slot were always going to be hard to come by.
Carvalho made his Brentford debut in their league opener against Crystal Palace, with Van den Berg having recently joined him at the Bees.
The centre-back has left Liverpool for £25million, having been sent on loan by Jurgen Klopp on several occasions.

Virgil van Dijk says how Liverpool fans will react to Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg
Van den Berg made just four Liverpool appearances, with Carvalho making 21, having also been loaned out by Klopp.
But despite their lack of time on the pitch for the Reds, Liverpool captain Van Dijk is expecting the Anfield faithful to give the new Brentford duo a warm welcome.

“Brentford, as ever, will provide a tough test,” Van Dijk wrote in the matchday programme. “It is never an easy game when you play against them, and having seen their victory over Crystal Palace last weekend, they look like they will be strong again this season.
“They have good players and they have made some good signings during the summer – including, of course, Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg, who I’m sure will be given a good reception on their return to Anfield.”
Will Fabio Carvalho come back to haunt Liverpool?
Carvalho was handed six minutes from the bench by Thomas Frank as Brentford overcame Crystal Palace 2-1 in West London.
It remains to be seen if he will be handed a start against his former club, with another cameo from the bench perhaps more likely.
One certainty is that he will be given a great reception from the Liverpool fans, with the attacker having impressed in pre-season earlier this summer.
The 21-year-old played a leading role in the successful pre-season tour of the USA, where Slot was missing many senior players.
There is every chance that he could come back to haunt his former club at Anfield, having certainly found form ahead of the new season.
Van den Berg meanwhile will also be welcomed back with open arms, despite barely featuring for the Merseyside club since joining from PEC Zwolle in 2019.
