'Interesting to see': Gary Neville predicts £38m Arsenal man to be his Player to Watch this season

Arsenal kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 victory against Wolves on the weekend.

Kai Havertz really impressed for the Gunners, netting the opening goal with a well-taken header before Bukayo Saka added the second to seal all three points.

It was the perfect start to Arsenal’s title-bid as they look to finally pip Manchester City having gone close the previous campaign.

Clearly Gary Neville was impressed as he’s just selected an Arsenal man as his Player to Watch this season.

Gary Neville tips Jurrien Timber as his Player to Watch
Gary Neville, speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football show, predicted Jurrien Timber to be the Player to Watch in the Premier League this season.

“Yeah, just last season, I was looking forward to him coming to Arsenal and sort of adding defensive stability to the squad,” the former Manchester United defender said.

“They did that anyway without him. I think the fact that he has been out for so long, will just be interesting to see. Arsenal obviously haven’t made a lot of additions to their squad this year, so he feels like a new addition. I would just like to see him play and see how he fits in.”

Gary Neville tips Arsenal to win the Premier League
Neville has also tipped Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season for the first time since 2004.

“My reasoning [for backing Arsenal] last year was that coming off the back of the treble for City might have an impact on them at certain points, the demands, the expectations, the injuries, but I think they won their last nine games, which is just special.

“Arsenal had an incredible season so I was not a million miles away. They are getting nearer and I feel they will do it. Pep Guardiola wins all the time but I feel Arsenal are so consistent that this could be the year.”
