The Gunners fans saw their team get off to a winning start at the weekend against Wolves but now all eyes are on if they can add to their squad.
As we all know, a deal for Mikel Merino is being pursued by Arsenal and it was suggested over the weekend that terms were being finalised for the Spaniard.
However, nothing concrete seems to be being reported in terms of it all being done.
Merino was left out of the Real Sociedad squad at the weekend in a nod that things were moving along.
But according to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth, there are still terms to be ironed out.

Why Arsenal haven’t got a deal done for Mikel Merino just yet
Speaking for Sky Sports about where Arsenal are with their deal to land Merino, Sheth has suggested it’s all just down to how the payments are made now.
“Arsenal remain in talks with Real Sociedad over the signing of midfielder Mikel Merino,” Sheth said.
“It’s thought the clubs are finalising the payment structure and the makeup of the performance-related add-ons.
“Merino was left out of the Sociedad squad for Sunday’s defeat against Rayo Vallecano.
“His manager Imanol Alguacil said his omission was because he was “in talks with other clubs”.
While everyone in the modern day wants things done quickly, this is a case of just staying patient if you are an Arsenal fan.
Mikel Merino will probably be an Arsenal player and it looks like the two teams are simply coming to an agreement that suits everyone best.
Of course, Arsenal and Mikel Arteta would like the Spaniard signed before the weekend so he can play.
But given the complexities in deals nowadays, a bit of waiting is needed.
