Journalist shares what he’s now heard about Jurrien Timber’s current injury problem

Jurrien Timber hasn’t had the easiest of starts to life at Arsenal, and his issues aren’t subsiding just yet.
Timber, of course, picked up an injury in his first league appearance for Arsenal, and he hasn’t been seen in a competitive game since.

Timber has returned to play a part in pre-season, and, by all accounts, the defender has done very well.

Unfortunately, he’s now picked up another injury.

Speaking on The Arsenal Way Podcast, Kaya Kaynak has been discussing Timber’s current injury problem, and he says that the defender’s current issue is only minor.

Jurrien Timber injury update
Kaynak shared what he knows about Timber’s current injury issue.

“Yeah he has a small foot problem. It’s a load-bearing injury, it’s the kind of problem you tend to get as you’re recovering from an ACL, and that is something Arsenal fans may have to prepare themselves for,” Kaynak said.

“He’s come back, last season he was preparing to be fit after the the March international break, and there was a minor setback again as well.”

“This is a small setback. Nothing huge. They’re viewing it as sort of the wear and tear that comes with it. They hope it’s nothing too serious, but I don’t think he will be involved on Sunday and then Wolves is a week after, so they will re-assess it and look at it again then.”

Jurrien Timber’s issues may continue
Unfortunately, it’s hard to imagine this will be the last we hear of Timber’s injury problems.

As Kaynak says, when you have an ACL injury, other problems can arise as by-products.

It’s a real shame, but the reality is that Timber has suffered a career-altering injury, and these minor injuries may continue to crop up.

Fingers crossed the defender can get back to his best soon and fully recover, because, in the small amount he has played for Arsenal, he has looked like a brilliant player.
