Liverpool injury news
Having a fresh bill of health will be a huge relief for Liverpool staff and fans alike following their struggles last season. Currently, only Bobby Clark remains out of action as he continues to recover from a back injury.
There was some speculation over the fitness of Jarell Quansah last weekend, when he was taken off after half-time and replaced by Ibrahima Konaté. However, Slot confirmed in his post-match press conference that it was a tactical decision based on the first half performance. Joe Gomez was also been absent from the team, but this is due to his future being up in the air at the moment, rather than fitness issues.

Liverpool predicted XI
Overall, it was a positive day on the road for Liverpool as they enjoyed a 2-0 win over new boys Ipswich Town. However, after Slot replaced Quansah with Konaté last weekend, the boss could opt to start the Frenchman over the young defender in order to assess his options.
Slot has had a good pre-season to figure out who his strongest players are but he was never going to get the full picture until the season started. However, after reports that Wataru Endō does not fit the style of play the Dutchman is looking for, he seems to have found his preference in utilising Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch in the deeper positions.
Diogo Jota also got himself on the scoresheet after starting alongside Mohamed Salah and Luis Díaz which could be the dominant trio for Slot’s attack this season.
Liverpool predicted XI: Alisson Becker; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konaté, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson, Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Mohamed Salah, Luis Díaz, Diogo Jota.
