Man Utd agent talks as Nottingham Forest ‘willing’ to strike transfer deal

Manchester United have enquired about Nottingham Forest’s Danilo, according to reports in Brazil.

The Reds midfielder has already been linked with AC Milan and now TNT Sports Brazil say Danilo’s agent has been approached by United. They report Forest “would be willing” to negotiate a sale of the Brazilian for around 40m euros, but no offer has yet been made by the Old Trafford club.

Reports in Italy also claim that Danilo has been identified as a player of interest by Milan. Danilo only arrived at Forest from Palmeiras in his native Brazil in January 2023, signing a six-and-a-half year deal and costing around £16m.

He is a key figure for Reds boss Nuno Espirito Santo, who has previously spoken about wanting to turn the youngster into a “top player”.

Speaking about Danilo earlier this year, Nuno said: "When a player arrives in a league as difficult as the Premier League, where you compete against a very high level, you need time. Danilo needs time, he has a lot of growing to do, he has very good qualities.

“He’s a midfielder with a lot of ability to cover the pitch, with stamina, to play out wide, he’s got a goal, as he’s shown, he’s got a good arrival in the area. Now, there are aspects that he needs to improve a lot, such as his decision-making, the accuracy of his passes, there are aspects he needs to improve. He has a lot of potential, we want to make him grow so that he can be the player we all hope for, a top player.”
