Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka scored the goals to give the Gunners a very solid start to the campaign as they look to mount another title challenge.
Unquestionably it was a good showing from Arsenal but Arteta wants more, frustrated with how he felt his team lost control at times in the second half of the game.
‘There are things to improve, for sure, but overall very happy,’ Arteta told Sky Sports.
‘Especially the lack of control we have in moments in the second half because we gave so many simple balls away. I don’t know if it was fatigue or what was it, credit to Wolves as well.
‘And in some situations we have to finish the actions better.’
He also told the BBC that he wanted his men to be more clinical, saying: ‘At 1-0 it was not enough. We had enough chances in the first half to finish the game but we didn’t. Overall very happy.
‘We should have opened the gap in terms of the scoreline much earlier.’

Bukayo Saka scored a brilliant second for Arsenal
Declan Rice was taken off late in the game, replaced by Gabriel Jesus on 85 minutes, but Arteta confirmed that the England midfielder is not injured and was just struggling with cramp.
Jurrien Timber came off the bench as he returns from the long-term knee injury which ruined his first season with the Gunners, although Riccardo Calafiori did not get off the bench to make his debut.
