Newcastle outcast spotted in airport departure lounge at the weekend - Is the time coming?

Newcastle United could be about to make a breakthrough in the transfer market with a player sale.

One deal that looked absolutely nailed on this summer was Ryan Fraser making his loan spell at Southampton a permanent deal.

With just five days to go until the two sides meet in the Premier League opener on Saturday, Ryan Fraser remains a Newcastle United player albeit one who has been left to train with the reserves.

However, a Saints fan spotted "Wee Man" Fraser in the airport at Southampton over the weekend which suggests that Fraser may have been in town to talk terms with Southampton.

Fraser had been down on the South Coast this weekend
Spotted by Newcastle World, the post on X from the Saints fan clarifies that Fraser was boarding a plane back to Newcastle and he didn't get any information out of him other than him admitting that he loved his time in Southampton.

We thought that this deal would have been one of the first done this summer after the Saints secured their return to the Premier League, but so far there has been very little movement.

Our theory remains that Newcastle are just stalling so that the little Scotch terrier can't face the Magpies on the opening day.

If Fraser doesn't move on it's going to be a tough old season
Holding off on the deal until after Saturday does make sense if the club want to avoid the potential embarrassment of a Fraser goal at St James' Park.

Let's be honest, it's a level of pettiness that we can all get behind but we'll have to wait and see.

It's 100% certain that Ryan Fraser has no future at Newcastle, so if this Southampton move falls through it's going to be a dull season for the diminutive fellow.
