Report: Arsenal now want their £30m player to leave ASAP and plan on signing a replacement before September

Arsenal are looking to ramp up their transfer plans in the coming weeks and now want one of their squad to leave so they can sign a replacement.
The Gunners have had a summer window that has centred on a lot of talk rather than action.

In terms of incomings, Riccardo Calafiori is the only through the door, while Emile Smith Rowe is the only big transfer to go out the door.

However, more could be needed to chase down Manchester City and that means more sales could be needed.

And according to reports, Arsenal want Eddie Nketiah to tie up a move away from The Emirates ASAP.

Arsenal want Eddie Nketiah to seal his move to Marseille so they can sign a replacement
According to Football Transfers, Arsenal are looking for Nketiah to seal his move away from the club as soon as possible.

The report claims that the Gunners want Nketiah to tie up a move to Marseille which would be an initial loan deal with a guaranteed option to buy.

Of course, Nketiah’s move to Marseille has been tipped to happen for the past week or so now.

However, as yet, there is no sign of a deal being struck with the French side doing other business and apparently being reluctant to pay the £30m asking price.

Interestingly, it’s claimed Arsenal want Nketiah gone so they can look to bring a replacement in before the end of the window.

Quite who that would be in the current market, is open to interpretation.

Arsenal, then, will be hoping that Edu and Mikel Arteta can nudge Marseille along here to get Nketiah out of the door.
