The Reds and the Red Devils often have incredible battles on the pitch, and this summer, they have also gone head-to-head in the transfer market.
Indeed, Manchester United recently beat Liverpool to the signing of Leny Yoro, but now, the Merseyside club are in a decent position to beat United to the signing of another French player.

Liverpool in a better position than Manchester United to sign Adrien Rabiot
According to Gazzetta, Liverpool may well be in a better position than Manchester United to sign Adrien Rabiot.
Rabiot is a free agent after leaving Juventus, and both clubs have been linked recently.
It was claimed at one point that Rabiot’s preference was to join United, but now, a conflicting report has emerged.
Indeed, this report claims that Rabiot wants to join a Champions League side, and, in turn, that means that both Arsenal and Liverpool are better positioned than Manchester United.
Of course, there are other elements at play here, and when a club as big as United are involved in a transfer race, they can never be discounted.
Adrien Rabiot’s Champions League dream
Adrien Rabiot wants to sign for a Champions League club, and that is very understandable.
Rabiot has won basically all there is to win at club level, he’s won league titles with both Juventus and PSG, but he’s yet to win a Champions League.
At the age of 29, time isn’t necessarily on Rabiot’s side as he desperately tries to win the Champions League, and, with all due respect, after an eight-placed finish last season, United are a long way away from being European champions.
The ‘world class’ midfielder reportedly wants a move to the Premier League, and perhaps we could end up seeing him in a Liverpool shirt before the end of the transfer window.
