Report: 'Unbelievable' player has now decided he'd rather join Chelsea instead of Arsenal

Victor Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move to both Arsenal and Chelsea this summer.

The two London clubs have been on the lookout for a prolific new striker, and they have been watching a number of different names in recent months.

However, Osimhen is perhaps the most exciting name of them all, and he is almost guaranteed to leave Napoli before the window shuts in two weeks.

Now, GiveMeSport have shared an update on Osimhen’s preference.

Victor Osimhen prefers a move to Chelsea over Arsenal
Arsenal and Chelsea will both go up a level if they sign a new striker this summer.

The Blues have a lot of problems at the moment, but if they can land a prolific forward, they will become a tough team to contain.

Mikel Arteta’s side are one of the strongest clubs in the world right now, but they too could do with a striker who will guarantee them goals.

However, it doesn’t look like it will be Osimhen.

The report claims that rumours linking Arsenal to Osimhen are ‘premature’ because there has been no significant movement on that front.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that if it comes down to it, the Napoli striker would prefer a move to Chelsea instead of Arsenal in this window.

However, for either side to move forward with their interest, Napoli’s asking price has to come down.

Arsenal have three other strikers on their shortlist
Osimhen is an ‘unbelievable‘ player and he would be an asset to many clubs in the world. However, if he doesn’t prefer a move to Arsenal, Arteta shouldn’t even look at him.

That’s probably what the Gunners boss has decided, which is why he has other top strikers on his wish list.

The report claims that Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon, Evan Ferguson of Brighton and Hove Albion and Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez are all being looked at by Arsenal.

However, it has been revealed that ‘their budget may prevent them from adding any of these names this summer without a further outgoing first’.

The likes of Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson may have to depart before Arsenal can strengthen their attack in this window.
