Report: Wolves now considering offering an audacious swap deal to sign £50m Arsenal player

Before the summer had begun, if Arsenal were interested in signing a Wolverhampton Wanderers player many would assume he’d be called Pedro Neto.
However, as we approach the end of August and the summer transfer window, Neto has already moved to Chelsea, and Arsenal are looking elsewhere for a new attacker.

In terms of players who could leave Mikel Arteta’s squad right now, profiles who could improve Wolves’ squad, Arsenal appear willing to part ways with Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson and Aaron Ramsdale.

A talented homegrown trio who would improve many starting sides across the Premier League.

That being said, it’s become clear that Wolves would first and foremost be interested in Ramsdale.

Arsenal rejected Wolves’ loan bid for Ramsdale, still preferring to offload the goalkeeper permanently if it’s possible this month.

However, reliable Wolves source Express and Star are now reporting that Gary O’Neil’s side are considering a player and cash swap offer for Ramsdale, even if it’s not on the table just yet.

Wolves considering offering Daniel Bentley to Arsenal as part of Aaron Ramsdale deal
Already this summer, Wolves have rejected bids from Arsenal for Daniel Bentley, who is currently the club’s number two behind Jose Sa.

Arsenal want Bentley as their new number three, a player who would help their homegrown quota if they lose some of the names mentioned above.

Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Joan Garcia, ready to pull the trigger if Ramsdale leaves this week or next.

And therefore if Wolves do end combining ‘outstanding‘ Bentley as part of a permanent deal for Ramsdale, perhaps all parties would then be happy.

Inaki Cana, Arsenal’s goalkeeping coach, seems to have a lot of influence at the club in that regard right now.

And if the Gunners get their wish, which could be greatly helped by Wolves interest in Ramsdale, it appears that Arsenal would like David Raya as number one, Garcia as their second-choice and Bentley then in reserve.

Of course, the only issue will be Arsenal’s asking price for Ramsdale – and whether Wolves can meet it when combining cash plus Bentley, should they choose to do so.
