Report: 'World class' striker starts pushing to leave after being linked with Arsenal move

Arsenal’s summer of spending has not quite been a blockbuster one with only one player having arrived through the doors.

Mikel Arteta will be delighted to have seen Riccardo Calafiori land at Arsenal this summer but there will have been a hope for more signings by now.

Edu Gaspar is working behind the scenes to get some deals across the line with Arsenal keen to sign Mikel Merino by the end of the month.

The Gunners are yet to add to their frontline with a new striker potentially an option for Arteta considering the poor form shown by Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah last term.

The Nigeria international has been linked with several clubs this summer including Chelsea, as per the report.

Osimhen could potentially be involved in a swap deal with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku but it is clear the player is just keen to move away from Napoli.

Arsenal could land ‘world class’ striker with Victor Osimhen
Although the Blues have been strongly linked with a move for the striker, it is believed that Osimhen would prefer a move to Arsenal over Chelsea.

In signing the ‘world class’ striker, Arsenal could land themselves with a forward who could provide a much more consistent output in front of goal than the likes of Jesus.

And what a statement signing it would be for the Gunners as they look to battle it out with City once again at the top of the table.

The player is keen to leave this summer and Arsenal are in need to a reliable striker who could help to clinch them the Premier League title…
