The Blues have been particularly busy on the transfer front this summer and are seemingly still looking to bolster their attacking ranks.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are also said to be in pursuit of attacking reinforcements, though at present they seem busy on the Mikel Merino front.
With just three weeks to go until deadline day, speculation linking Chelsea and Arsenal with Osimhen continues to do the rounds.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Osimhen in wake of Chelsea sealing a deal for another player Arsenal have been linked with.

Victor Osimhen unwilling to reduce salary or accept straight loan amid Chelsea and Arsenal links
The Blues have reportedly reached a breakthrough to bring Pedro Neto to Stamford Bridge, so in theory, they could lose their interest in Osimhen.
However, Arsenal may not be out of the woods yet, as Romano claims Chelsea “could still be active on offensive players”.
However, Osimhen seems to be some way from agreeing terms with the Blues, as he’s not interested in a salary reduction, nor a straight loan.
Osimhen has been an absolute revelation for Napoli since his £70million move from Lille back in 2020.
Last season, the 25-year-old signed a new contract at Napoli with a £113million release clause, but this hasn’t stopped speculation from doing the rounds.
Osimhen has clearly shown that he is “one of the best strikers in the world”, as Joao Cancelo said to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Il Napolista, earlier this year.
He would be a great acquisition for either Arsenal or Chelsea, and with just a few weeks left before deadline day, it looks like the race is still open.
