This isn’t a case of Liverpool not being big enough to lure a man of the Napoli star’s talents to their shores.
They can do that ten times over and bring in many of the top stars across Europe, if they want.
But to the frustration of the Liverpool supporters, the powers that be at Anfield operate in a very different way and it annoys the life out of those who rep the club.
Whilst Chelsea are on another spending rampage, Manchester City eye two Premier League stars to replace Julian Alvarez and even West Ham United have been big spenders this summer.
Liverpool are yet to make a signing and the new Premier League season is a week away from starting.

It’s even more embarrassing because Arne Slot is the club’s new manager and he hasn’t exactly been provided with the warmest of welcomes by his new club.
Just look over in north London, Tottenham have secured a club-record transfer of Dominic Solanke and this is from a man like Daniel Levy who has been criticised many times before for his lack of ambition in the transfer market.
Either way, with Osimhen valued at £110 million, he is still a Napoli player and hasn’t yet moved with the summer transfer window set to slam shut at the end of the month.
Don Hutchison was asked to name a few strikers, other than Osimhen, who are top-level players but not worth over £100 million.
The former midfielder put forward the name of Aston Villa hitman Ollie Watkins after he guided the Midlands club to the Champions League last season by scoring 19 Premier League goals and supplying 13 assists.
Hutchison feels Liverpool should sign Watkins because ‘they need someone to play within the 18-yard box’, as he told ESPN.
Ollie Watkins at Liverpool
On strikers other than Osimhen who wouldn’t cost north of £100m: “Ollie Watkins, I wouldn’t imagine he is £100 million,” said Hutchison. “Harry Kane probably isn’t worth £100 million now.
“But it’s not just about the number, it’s how much I like Osimhen and how much I love Osimhen.
“But if I am Liverpool, I probably would sign Ollie Watkins because I think what they need is someone who plays within the 18-yard box and is guaranteed to score goals. That’s why I love these players. Osimhen is ripped to move. I hope he doesn’t move and I hope he doesn’t move away from Serie A, but the trouble is, he is worth over £100 million.”
