Juventus rip up Wojciech Szczesny contract
Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Juventus have terminated the contract of Wojciech Szczesny.

The Poland international has mutually agreed to the termination of his deal in Turin, and is set to receive a payout as he still had 12 months remaining on the contract.
It comes after the Evening Standard claimed that Arsenal are considering Szczesny as a replacement for Ramsdale.
Arteta and Edu have shortlisted the Pole due to the fact he still classifies as a homegrown option in the Premier League – after emerging from Hale End back in 2009.
Szczesny – who has been called a “world class” goalkeeper – went on to make 181 appearances for Arsenal, keeping 72 clean sheets while conceding 194 goals in total.
No brainer for Arsenal
In our view, Szczesny was already the most attractive option to replace Ramsdale, due to the fact he is familiar with life at Arsenal, and also goes down as a homegrown squad option.
Now, the 34-year-old has only become even more suitable to fulfil the role of playing backup to Raya, with Arsenal no longer needing to pay a fee to Juventus.
The Gunners will just have to pay Szczesny’s wages, which were £199,000-a-week before Juventus tore up his contract.
Of course, that is a large amount to spend on a No.2 goalkeeper, so the man from Warsaw would most likely have to accept a pay cut to return to Arsenal – although he may be open to doing so after receiving a payout from Juventus, in our view.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Szczesny could soon return to the Emirates Stadium.
