Arsenal Are Set To Rival Newcastle United For This Bayern Munich Winger: Good Choice For Arteta?

In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Arsenal are set to rival Newcastle United for Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane. It has been claimed that the Gunners have identified the German attacker as a target as they look to strengthen their squad next year.

Sane’s Excellent Record In German Football Last Season
Sane had a productive campaign at the Bavarian club recently as he was responsible for putting in a lot of match-winning displays for them in the final third. The Germany international banged in ten goals and grabbed 13 assists in 42 matches for Bayern Munich last season across all fronts.

The former Manchester City talent was a consistent performer in the opponent’s half based on his average of 2.7 shots, 2.7 key passes and 3.4 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He was even tidy when distributing possession after completing 84.4% of his attempted passes in the German first division (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at Bayern Munich will run out at the end of this campaign which could open the door for Arsenal to snap him up on a free transfer next summer.

Is Sane A Good Choice For Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta?
Sane has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He can shoot the ball with venom and precision from long range. The German talent has got the vision to orchestrate a few inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.

The Germany international can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. He is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also operate as a left-winger or as an attacking midfielder if asked to do so by his manager.

We can expect Sane to add a lot of firepower to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He is good enough to earn a regular first-team spot at the Emirates Stadium next season.

Sane already knows the Premier League well from his time at Manchester City and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the North London club. At 28, the German sensation is playing in his prime which makes him an excellent choice for Arsenal to consider next year.
