Arsenal Boss Offered Optimistic Update on Star Player Ahead of Looming PSG Champions League…

In the coming weeks, one of Paris Saint-Germain’s standout fixtures will be their UEFA Champions League clash against Arsenal on October 1 at Emirates Stadium. However, the Gunners might be without a key player for that match.
According to Le Parisien, Martin Ødegaard could miss the Champions League game against PSG. The Norwegian national team’s doctor has suggested that the midfielder will need at least three weeks to recover from an ankle injury.

The international break has been tough for both Arsenal and PSG, with several players picking up injuries while on duty for their national teams.

Manager Mikel Arteta provided the latest on Ødegaard as his status for the matchup against PSG is up in the air.

“We need some more tests. Let’s see what happens in the next day or so,” Arteta said. “He is super positive about everything. Martin wants to be there every single day. Let’s see what happens.”

For PSG, Vitinha, Désiré Doué, and Warren Zaïre-Emery all returned to Paris with injuries. However, Vitinha and Doué seem to have avoided anything too severe and should recover relatively quickly.

Zaïre-Emery’s situation is a bit more uncertain, and there’s some doubt about whether he’ll be fit for the start of the Champions League campaign.
