Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa are the English teams in the mix, and the new format is throwing up blockbuster ties from the first matchday.

It's an England vs Italy week to kick things off. Liverpool are away at AC Milan on Tuesday, before City host Inter Milan on Wednesday and Arsenal travel to take on Atalanta on Thursday.

Villa will be desperate to get their first ever Champions League campaign off to a flyer when they take on Young Boys on Tuesday. Celtic have a kind first fixtures at home to Slovan Bratislava.
