The Egyptian delivered a stellar performance as Liverpool beat Manchester United 3-0 away from home to cap off a brilliant start to the season. He scored once and assisted twice as he once again haunted Old Trafford.
However, his contract expires in June 2025 and until things change, this stands to be his final season in Liverpool red.
However, Fabrizio Romano reports this may not be the case and he may sign a new deal.

Is there any better news than that?
Speaking on the podcast The Debrief, Romano said: “Arne Slot is very happy with him and they want to keep him at the club, so at the moment it all depends on the talks taking place between Mo and Liverpool in the next few months.
“The situation for Mo is quite clear. He would be really happy to continue at Liverpool; I can confirm that. I think it is a crucial part of the story.
“Mo would like to stay at the club. Mo is very happy at Liverpool. Mo believes that his future could still be in the Premier League in a Liverpool shirt, so the message from the player’s side is clear. It now depends on if they can reach an agreement on the financial terms.”
Now that the transfer window is over, FSG have a singular priority

There are several players at Liverpool deserving and in need of a new contract but Salah is the foremost.
If Salah leaves, all else falls apart. Without the Egpytian, Liverpool would not have achieved most of what they have achieved in the last seven years.
That may sound as though it diminishes the contributions of the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson Becker but it’s just the truth as I see it.
Salah is one of the best players of his generation and perhaps the greatest winger to ever play in the Premier League. Allowing him to leave when he is almost begging the club for talks would not go down well with supporters.
FSG know what they need to do so we can only hope for the right outcome.
