'From the Kop': Sky Sports journalists says Liverpool fans were fuming with £34m man v Nott'm Forest today

Liverpool had their first blip of the Arne Slot era as they stuttered through a pretty abject performance v Nottingham Forest today.

The Reds had plenty of the ball during the 90 minutes but were shocked when Callum Hudson-Odoi curled in a stunning effort for Forest to take the lead

For Arne Slot, who took an immediate seat in the dugout when the flow flew in, it was new territory as Liverpool boss.

Of course, on the field, Slot could do little about his Liverpool players making bad decisions. And there were plenty of them on display.

And in an unusual turn of events, it was Mohamed Salah who was the one frustrating the Anfield crowd after continually fluffing his lines.

Liverpool fans unhappy with Mo Salah against Nottingham Forest
The Liverpool crowd is one of the most patient around and in £34m signing Mo Salah, they have a player who very much gets little in the way of stick.

However, pointing out the frustration inside Anfield, Sky Sports journalist Laura Hunter shared just how the Liverpool crowd were feeling when Salah fluffed yet another attacking opportunity.

“Frustration grows as Salah delays and delays on the edge of the box, before waiting so long that all in Red had made their run and were either offside or nowhere near the eventual dinked cross, which drifted harmlessly out of play – to groans from the Kop,” Hunter said.

Slot worked out already?
It’s very very early days for Arne Slot and Liverpool but you do feel there was a sense of Forest and Nuno Santo working them out a bit today.

Yes, Liverpool dominated at times with the ball and with more quality, would have scored a few goals.

However, Forest held in their and eventually, thanks to some brave subs and a clinical finish, got themselves in front.

Liverpool and Slot, then, will surely take a lot from this game and the Dutchman will have plenty of food for though this coming week in training.
