Ian Wright slams Erling Haaland in X-rated rant after 'disrespectful' Arsenal move

Arsenal hero Ian Wright has launched another scathing attack towards Manchester City sensation Erling Haaland after his actions following their equaliser during Sunday afternoon's dramatic 2-2 draw.

The Norwegian split opinion with his antics in light of John Stones' last-gasp equaliser as Haaland ran into the net, before then throwing the ball at the back of the head of despairing Arsenal defender, Gabriel. It was revealed that VAR checked the incident and the City striker will not face any retribution - despite claims he should.

Ian Wright goes on X-rated Arsenal rant and tells Erling Haaland straight after Man City incidents
After the full-time whistle, Haaland could be seen telling Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to be 'humble' in an angry exchange involving Gunners players as tempers boiled over.

The early season title showdown forced both sides to share the spoils with City restoring their place at the top of the Premier League, while Arsenal moved up to fourth after coming within seconds of leapfrogging Pep Guardiola's star-studded side and Liverpool into top spot.

Speaking on the Stick to Football Podcast, Wright was probed over an angry social media post aimed at Haaland on Sunday. Explaining the decision to post on Instagram, he said: "I'll tell you what happened... I was on my way to the Premier League [studios] to do the Kelly & Wrighty show, I hit a pothole and got a complete flat in my Mini.

"I'm sitting there, phoning people who are going to do the recovery and I thought; 'That is a s*******e move'. I did say it on Sunday, but not like that, but it was a cowardly move - I'm not hiding from it no more, it was a s*******e move.

"I know it's a cowardly move because what I did to Regi [Blinker], it was a cowardly move. I wouldn't do that.

"His [Gabriel] back's turned, shirt over his head, this is a rivalry you're building - not a s*******e move like that. Me and [Regi Blinker] it wasn't a good thing, it was very disrespectful, I made sure I apologised to him. I know what a b******t move is, I know what a cowardly move is."

The Instagram post in question - which has been viewed over one million times and received over 7,000 likes - featured a passionate response from Wright in his car. The Premier League's top goal-scorer, Haaland, who also netted his 100th City goal overal in the draw with Arsenal, has yet to respond in light of the viral encounters.

"I just felt like I needed to put something out there that's been bothering me," said 60-year-old, Wright, in his initial social media post. "The Trossard sending off, you're frustrated thinking, 'you've got them', and you're getting sent-off for something f******g foolish. In the moment, yeah, but shouldn't be sent-off.
