The Norwegian split opinion with his antics in light of John Stones' last-gasp equaliser as Haaland ran into the net, before then throwing the ball at the back of the head of despairing Arsenal defender, Gabriel. It was revealed that VAR checked the incident and the City striker will not face any retribution - despite claims he should.
After the full-time whistle, Haaland could be seen telling Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to be 'humble' in an angry exchange involving Gunners players as tempers boiled over.
The early season title showdown forced both sides to share the spoils with City restoring their place at the top of the Premier League, while Arsenal moved up to fourth after coming within seconds of leapfrogging Pep Guardiola's star-studded side and Liverpool into top spot.
Speaking on the Stick to Football Podcast, Wright was probed over an angry social media post aimed at Haaland on Sunday. Explaining the decision to post on Instagram, he said: "I'll tell you what happened... I was on my way to the Premier League [studios] to do the Kelly & Wrighty show, I hit a pothole and got a complete flat in my Mini.
"I'm sitting there, phoning people who are going to do the recovery and I thought; 'That is a s*******e move'. I did say it on Sunday, but not like that, but it was a cowardly move - I'm not hiding from it no more, it was a s*******e move.
