Despite a frustrating transfer window for Liverpool the last few days of the summer brought plenty of excitement for the Reds.
It began with the confirmation of Liverpool wrapping up Giorgi Mamardashvili's transfer, who is set to join the club next summer.
That confirmation was followed by the club's acquisition of Chiesa from Juventus in an equally exciting move.
But the announcements may not end there. The transfer window has concluded for Liverpool on Friday August 30th, but there's one more confirmation the club are hoping to make in the very near future.
When Liverpool could announce Rio Ngumoha transfer
Liverpool agreed to sign Chelsea's exciting teenage prodigy Rio Ngumoha earlier in the summer transfer window. The teenager, who only recently turned 16-years-old, has already been training with Chelsea's first team and was highly regarded by the club.
However, Ngumoha opted to leave the Blues after he saw an uncertain path into the senior team. Liverpool were one of the teams to pounce and convinced Ngumoha to join the Reds in a major coup.
But despite having an agreement in place, Liverpool have not been able to confirm Ngumoha's arrival.
Now Liverpool journalist, Paul Gorst, has confirmed the latest situation surrounding Ngumoha and how the club could soon be able to confirm his arrival with the academy staff very excited about the prospect of his arrival.
Speaking on the Blood Red podcast, Gorst explained as follows:
“I asked someone about that last week,” said Gorst. “He’s going through the Premier League five step registration thing apparently and that takes a little bit of time, but no concerns or issues.
“He will be part of the academy set up in the next two weeks. He will be a Liverpool player and one who academy staff are massively excited about.”
