Man City star in tears after injury ahead of Brentford and Arsenal Premier League fixtures

Following the meeting with Brentford, Manchester City then have a huge meeting with Arsenal at their home ground on September 22. If the Premier League pans out as it did last term, that fixture could be a potentially title-deciding match.

In between those two league fixtures is a Champions League clash with Inter Milan and the matches are followed by Carabao Cup action against Watford before a trip to Newcastle United at the end of the month.
Ake was stretchered off the pitch during the Netherlands' meeting with Germany on Tuesday night and looked in serious pain as he was helped off the field. With the injury still fresh, how long the lay-off will be remains to be seen, but it does not look like good news for the 29-year-old.

As he pulled up on the field, it appeared that the defender could have pulled his hamstring. That combined with the severity of the pain could point to a lengthy lay-off for the player, who was so important in Manchester City's title winning campaign last season.
