‘More than 20,000 seats still available’ – Unusual situation ahead of Liverpool match, general sale right until kickoff

But Calciomercato make clear that hasn’t been the case yet, and ticket sales are indicative of that.

The outlet states: ‘In fact, only 55 thousand tickets have already been sold and with a capacity of over 75 thousand seats, there are more than 20 thousand seats still available.’

As a result of this unusual situation, Milan have decided to keep tickets on general sale until the day of the game, to make sure that fans can get access even at the last minute.

The Rossoneri haven’t started their season well and were winless in the opening three games before they beat Venezia 4-0 at the weekend.

Despite that supposed return to form, a clash against Liverpool doesn’t seem to be attracting the level of fans it should, and that’s surprise considering the history of the fixture.

The San Siro might yet get filled up but the current scenario shows that the Rossoneri faithfuls aren’t all that happy with the club.
