The Dutchman has picked up nine points from a possible nine so far at his new club, and he hasn’t even conceded a goal yet.
It seems to be a very happy camp at Liverpool right now. Although, there does now seem to be an underlying issue bubbling away.
Indeed, Caoimhin Kelleher made it clear earlier this week that he wants to play first-team football, and now, speaking to RTE, the Irishman has reiterated the same message.
Caoimhin Kelleher not happy with his Liverpool situation
Kelleher spoke about his current standing at Liverpool.
“Obviously the situation at the moment is probably not ideal for myself because I want to play week in, week out,” Kelleher said.
“I feel like I’m good enough to play week in, week out. But yeah, there were obviously bids in the summer that got rejected. Things like that are not in my hands as you say.”
“I’ve said I don’t want this position of number two. I want to be a position of number one. I want to go and play and yeah, wherever that is the most important thing is to be number one and get games, so whether that’s at Liverpool or elsewhere doesn’t matter. The main thing is that I do need to be playing games.”

Kelleher needs a new club
It’s clear that Kelleher wants to be playing more football, and he needs to find a new club if he’s going to do that.
The ‘outstanding’ goalkeeper is good enough to be a number one, but Liverpool clearly don’t see him in that role.
Alisson is the Reds’ current number one, and Giorgi Mamardashvili has now been signed to ultimately replace Alisson one day.
Kelleher is in goalkeeping limbo at the moment, and, at the age of 25, he now needs to be playing more regularly.
