The Gunners completed the signing of the former Liverpool and Manchester City winger late in the summer window.
After being told by new manager Enzo Maresca that he is not a part of his plans, Sterling started looking for a new club.
The north Londoners showed interest in his services, with the English winger working with Mikel Arteta when the Spaniard was the assistant manager at Man City.
It was previously suggested that the Gunners are paying half of Sterling’s wages following his loan move from Chelsea.
However, according to TalkSPORT, Arteta’s team are only paying 30 percent (£97,500) out of Raheem Sterling’s £325,000 weekly wages.
Chelsea will be paying £12 million of Sterling’s yearly £17 million salary.
It is a bargain signing for Arsenal, with the club not paying any loan fees for the winger.
The wage package is easily affordable for the Premier League giants.

If Sterling regains his form at the Emirates Stadium, it will make Chelsea look naive.
The Blues will be paying Sterling 70 percent of his wages and that too for playing for one of their biggest rivals.
Sterling failed to make a huge impact at Chelsea following his move from Man City.
Chelsea’s struggles are widely known and how they have faced issues on and off the field in the last few seasons.
Arsenal can help Raheem Sterling get back to his best
From boardroom issues to managerial uncertainty, from extravagant spending to making some audacious decisions regarding their players, the club has been a total mess.
In a stable environment like Arsenal’s, Sterling can get back to his best form and Arteta’s history with the four-time Premier League winner will be helpful for both the manager and the player.
