Reiss Nelson shares one of the main reasons he left Arsenal on deadline day

However, the winger ultimately decided to go out on loan, and speaking on Fulham’s YouTube channel, the attacker has shared why he decided to head to Craven Cottage.
Reiss Nelson joined Fulham for more gametime
Nelson shared why he joined Fulham, suggesting that all players who need more minutes should head out on loan.

“You’ve been on loan before, so how beneficial can it be?” Nelson said.

“It’s amazing. I think every player, you know at the right time when you need more gametime, if there’s an opportunity to go on loan you have to take it and for me like I said it’s one of those ones where I couldn’t turn it down. I’m just happy we got it done in the end,” Nelson said.

How much will Reiss Nelson play at Fulham?
It’s interesting to hear Nelson say that he’s joined Fulham to get more minutes, because it’s unclear how much he will actually play during this spell.

Indeed, Fulham already have some great options on the wing.

Adama Traore has been the Whites’ best attacking player so far this season down the right side, while the likes of Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe are options down the left.

The reality is that Nelson may not be one of the first names on the teamsheet at Fulham, and he may have been better off heading to a team like Ipswich where he would’ve played more often.

Whether or not this ends up being a good move for Nelson remains to be seen, but this one could potentially backfire as Nelson is joining a team that already has a fair share of wide talent.
