Report: What one Arsenal player text messaged another after 2-2 Manchester City draw

Arsenal and Manchester City played out such an eventful game last Sunday, that new details about the 2-2 draw are still emerging.

There was a red card for Leandro Trossard, a 98th minute equaliser from John Stones and plenty of beef between the likes of Erling Haaland and Gabriel Magalhaes.

Much has emerged from the enthralling Premier League clash, and now – thanks to the Daily Mail – a text message sent by one Arsenal player about Manchester City has emerged…

Arsenal text message made public
Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail has now shared a text message sent by an Arsenal player, which Mail Sport were able to get access to.

It is said that one unnamed Arsenal star wrote “they are fuming!!” in regards to Manchester City, after Haaland was seen throwing the ball at Gabriel’s head and also mocking Mikel Arteta, before the likes of Bernardo Silva criticised the Gunners for time wasting.

Furthermore, John Stones also commented on how Arsenal managed the game at the Etihad Stadium, admitting that he has seen very few teams slow proceedings down in such a manner.

It has been bubbling underneath the surface for roughly two years, but it seems like we now have a genuine title rivalry on our hands, where both sides are beginning to strongly dislike each other.

Some are baffled
The Daily Mail also share what the Arsenal players think of accusations they didn’t try to win at the Etihad Stadium.

Mokbel adds that the Gunners are puzzled by these comments, feeling perplexed due to the fact they were literally nine seconds away from a 2-1 victory, and simply needed to adopt a more defensive approach due to losing Trossard, as is natural.

It is also said that those within the Arsenal camp strongly believe they would have proceeded to take all three points had the Belgian not been sent off.

A robust response to much criticism, to say the least.
