Report: 'World class' Arsenal player could now leave the club before Friday, he's considering his future

Arsenal may not be able to bring any new players into the club now with the summer transfer window now shut, but players could still leave.

Mikel Arteta‘s side have seen their fortunes tipped on their head over recent weeks with Arsenal going into the North London Derby with some issues.

The Gunners were set for an impressive start to the season before Declan Rice was shown a red card in the draw against Brighton & Hove Albion.

And then on Monday night, Martin Odegaard suffered an ankle injury which has since seen him return to the United Kingdom on crutches.

It is far from the preparation to Arsenal‘s biggest game of the season so far that Arteta would have wished for.

And it seems as if another Arsenal player could potentially be unavailable this weekend if he chooses to depart for a new club.

Arsenal could sell ‘world class’ player this week
There are still some markets across the world which remain open for clubs to complete their final pieces of business.

One of them being the Turkish market which does not shut until Friday which is a full two weeks after the English window closed.

And there is one player in north London who is receiving particular interest from one of Turkey’s top clubs.

According to Tutto Mercato, Jorginho is seriously considering his future at Arsenal ahead of Friday’s deadline.

It is believed Galatasaray are showing a real interest in him despite having Manchester United’s Casemiro at the top of their list.

But the Turkish giants are now up against the clock with just a matter of hours now remaining for them to complete any final deals.

And given the injury and suspension issues Arsenal are suffering, a move for the ‘world class‘ Jorginho may be optimistic.

Arsenal cannot afford to sell Jorginho
Considering the injury issue suffered by Odegaard over the last 24 hours, Arsenal cannot afford to allow any midfielders to depart before the end of the week.

The extent of the injury to the Norwegian has not been revealed just yet and is actually irrelevant to whether Arsenal should sell Jorginho.

Just seeing Arsenal’s options potentially stretched at an instant as a result of the injury and Rice’s suspension shows just how quickly things can turn on their head.

Arsenal are hoping to get their hands on the Premier League title this year and reducing their squad depth is not the way to prepare for a season of challenging at the top.
